MNHQ please can you clamp down on anti autism threads?

For weeks now autism and autistic people have been targeted by thread after thread using inflammatory language, negative stereotypes and connotations and just general ignorance. Why is this allowed to happen? Autism is a recognised disability and as such is covered by discrimination laws. Why is it that people, despite education being widely available and offered on here by parents, are allowed to dismiss/deny/minimise autism in a way that would never be considered acceptable for any other disability? @MNHQ

Hi all,

Thanks for your comments on this thread, we've found it very useful reading so please be assured we are taking all your concerns seriously.

As we've said before, our general approach is not to completely shut down discussions begun in good faith or attempts to get answers to valid but difficult questions. But any whiff of goadiness, and we definitely will take action sharpish, so please do always report and we'll take a look. and Flowers to all of you who are struggling with GFs in RL too.

I rarely read any autism threads on here because people get so so nasty and I find it really upsetting. There seems to be a minority that have an underlying belief that autistic children are poorly parented and that autism is used as a get clause for bad behaviour. It's not a small minority either.
