buying fruit/veg from local farmer

using a pushchair instead of a sling

putting baby in a cot instead of co sleeping

doing controlled crying

letting dc watch tv

nappyaddict · 14/03/2007 02:32

I prefer to think of myself as a youghurt knitter that a lentil weaver. And youghut knitters can do all of that stuff - except the controlled crying and the cot.

nappyaddict · 16/03/2007 07:02

so if you are a yoghurt knitter you have to co sleep?

OP posts:
nappyaddict · 16/03/2007 07:02

yoghurt knitters can use disposables

OP posts:
katelyle · 16/03/2007 07:10

Ah no, you obviously haven't read the Youghurt Knitter's Manifesto (available in all good bookshops but not Tesco. YK's don't use Tesco)

YK's don't have to co-sleep,(but we often do because it's easier. YK's like to make things easy) YK's don't use cots - they use mattresses on the floor or futons.

zippitippitoes · 16/03/2007 07:28

I'm with Pann

zippitippitoes · 16/03/2007 07:29

and why is this site stuff?

beansprout · 16/03/2007 07:29

Is this thread in the spirit of genuine enquiry or is this a veiled pop at our lentily friends?

Fillyjonk · 16/03/2007 07:31

no if you do any of these things we stone you

why do you ask?

Pann · 16/03/2007 07:32

I'm offski to work....do try to play proper...plaintive plea...can see split lentils and organic brown rice all over the floor before lunchtime.....

FrannyandZooey · 16/03/2007 08:42
Hmm
Carmenere · 16/03/2007 08:47

I think that true lentil weavers try to be kind and non-judgemental to all. So leave them alone.

love my moon cup too.

also love

driving
dishwasher
tumble dryer
wine (organic or otherwise)
tv
smoking (contentious I know and actually I hate it too)
chocolate to stop toddler crying
bribes for teenages
sleeping only with my dp not children
shouting very loudly at said toddler when I can't stand any more demands to kick the ball in the garden (perhaps this is a new thread, how do you cope with the repetative monotonous demands of a 16 month old who refuses to speak but does sign, am regretting the day I ever started teaching him to sign it was only because my friends child of the same age is deaf)
