No, nobody. And nothing.

OP posts:
alexsmum · 07/08/2006 10:42

well i just let private eye know that nothing was happening here about nothing and nobody.

Flamesparrow · 07/08/2006 10:53

Surely talking to no-one about nothing is just going to lead to no publicity which is something that no-one wants (good or bad?)

hulababy · 07/08/2006 10:54

Here

Listen online NOW - Justine talking about the non-existennt issue!

edam · 07/08/2006 11:05

Maybe there should be a demonstration outside no-body's publishers? Parents wearing gags and holding up placards saying 'silenced by xxx?'

LieselVonTrapp · 07/08/2006 11:15

edam
thats fantastic. Where is said building?

alexsmum · 07/08/2006 11:40

the book was published by vermillion.can't find an adress for them on google.probably a subsidiary of another publisher?

edam · 07/08/2006 11:43

Dunno but am sure we can find out. Or outside her lawyers' office? Pavement is public space, they don't own it.

LieselVonTrapp · 07/08/2006 11:47

Thats very true. This sounds like a London location though so we could set up petitions for others.

CountessDracula · 07/08/2006 11:48

Vermillion are part of Random House I believe

CountessDracula · 07/08/2006 11:49

Yes they are an imprint

What is the difference between an imprint and a publishing company?

A. Random House is a publishing company that comprises a group of imprints that were once separate businesses. Each imprint has a slightly different publishing philosophy. Most imprints publish either hardback or paperback editions, so the same title usually appears under two different imprints. For instance John Grisham is published by the imprints Century and Arrow which are both part of Random House.

Random House imprints are: Arrow, Century, Chatto & Windus, Ebury, Everyman, Harvill Secker, Hutchinson, Jonathan Cape, Mainstream, Pimlico, Rider, Vermilion, Vintage, William Heinemann and Yellow Jersey. Random House Children's Books is also comprised of a large number of separate imprints. You can check the current titles of each imprint by making a selection from the dropdown list at the top of the page.

piglit · 07/08/2006 11:50

The Daily Mail are often interested in nothing stories about nobody.

CountessDracula · 07/08/2006 11:51

I don't think we need to stoop that low ;)

Random House's postal address is in Pimlico

edam · 07/08/2006 11:52

That's interesting, CD, given that huge libel case where two of Random House's authors were suing each other - Da Vinci Code? That was RH, wasn't it?

piglit · 07/08/2006 11:53

You are right Countess. I hate it with a passion but it has a wide circulation. Ditto Jeremy Vine on radio 2.

CountessDracula · 07/08/2006 11:55

melrose · 07/08/2006 11:57

flutterbee · 07/08/2006 12:31

I would make the trip from Hastings to participate in a demostration about nothing.

Love the idea about the gags.

NobodyAtAll · 07/08/2006 12:33

Talking about nobody and their nothingingness is proving quite an attractive proposition for a concept so seemingly nihilistic.

OP posts:
Tortington · 07/08/2006 13:06

i would love to protest about nothing - somone would have to organise the newsdesk stuff.

i contacted 5 newspapers yesterday over nothing but i suspect there are mumsnetters who are more connected than i

Mascaraohara · 07/08/2006 13:10

I would be willing to participate in a protest about nothing
