"I joined mumsnet earlier this week after reading all your posts for about a year. Theres lots of good advice, fun, sadness, lots of laughs, problems, tips, arguments, discussions, help in abundnce and lots lots more. Every body has strong and differing oppinions and thoughts. Mumsnet is an excellent website for all these reasons and more. You all seem to have much more fun than other parenting web sites, I have laughed untill tears have run down my face and I have cried and thanked my lucky stars at what others have and are still going through. To me this is what mumsnet is all about."

I wanted to make sure as many people as possible got to read this great post from thekidsmum on another thread.

Welcome, thekidsmum, and thanks for the great reminder of what we are all here for

That really is a great post.
Welcome thekidsmum.

"Nail" and "head" spring to mind. I think it takes a fresh observer to see the wood for the trees so to speak. Well said.

NotQuiteCockney · 02/08/2006 21:52

Well said.

thekidsmum · 02/08/2006 21:53

excellently put, tkm, and thanks to F&Z for drawing our attention to it.

(Tech, can it go as Quote of the Week in the newsletter?)

FrannyandZooey · 03/08/2006 09:00

It's fab, isn't it, MrsB? I keep reading it and thinking "YES"

OP posts:
MrsJohnCusack · 03/08/2006 09:00

hello thekidsmum

CheesyFeet · 03/08/2006 09:00

Fantastic post

Thanks thekidsmum and F&Z - sometimes we need a kick up the 'arris to remind us what MN is all about.

What was the other thread btw?

FrannyandZooey · 03/08/2006 09:02

Oh it was Blu's thread, which doesn't make for quite such a heartwarming read as I recall.

Brill post thekidsmum.

wilbur · 03/08/2006 09:08

Agree - and hello thekidsmum!

clairemow · 03/08/2006 09:11

So nice to read that quote, esp as I've seen quite a lot recently about people leaving and being fed up with Mumsnet. Have to say I also find Mumsnet fabulous and am sadly addicted to it... DH calls it "bloody Mumsnet", but secretly wishes Dadsnet existed... Mind you, then we just wouldn't communicate any more!

lol FioFio

suzywong · 03/08/2006 09:33

My question is:
Will kidsmum's quote be issued on a laminated wall mountable placard, engraved round a scented candle or appear on a collectable wedgewood plate?

JackieNo · 03/08/2006 09:35

Franklin Mint collectable plate, surely suzywong. Pay in instalments.

JackieNo · 03/08/2006 09:44

Sorry - meant to say - great quote thekidsmum .

Tommy · 03/08/2006 09:46

absolutely - just what I was thinking but couldn't put it so eloquently

Miaou · 03/08/2006 09:47
