Keep getting logged out - any idea what's going on?

I don't know if this is MN or my computer (being a luddite).

I keep getting logged out. Just now I've tried several times to comment on an AIBU thread, and each time I click on it, it logs me out. I log back in, and it logs me out as soon as I click on the thread.

I did tick the 'keep me logged in' box.

Any ideas?

I don't think it's a very new Mac.

I shall rely on the wisdom of DH and his manly knowledge.

Actually, it's just because he works with computers.

Has your manly man managed to shed any light on the problem LRD?
