Would MN consider doing a 'find the best' for foods?

Title says it all I hope.

Interesting thread today about highly sugared yogurts labelled as suitable from 4 months. Got me thinking that MN might usefully recommend the best yogurt/turkey twizzler etc.

Seriously, some processed foods are better than others and given that most of us will give our children processed foods at some time, wouldn't it be useful to know whether eg frozen sausages have no need for preservatives (guess) or 1/4 of any shop bought pizza has a weeks worth of recommended salt intake for a 3yr old??

Nice idea, not sure how well it wll go down.... The mention of a turkey twizzler might have been your downfall....

that's a really good idea actually.

Dont think MN would take the legal responsibility for it........ Only in the capacity that they already do - with threads full of advice from posters with a disclaimer at the top....

Jinx funny I was thinking that today that we could have a marks out of ten review of foods etc.

I will start with
Kraft, Cheesy Pasta-
Smells like vomit has a strange orange sort of luminous glow, leaves a bogging after taste. Both my kids looked at it then looked at me and gave me that look as if to say "yeh right, you expect me to eat this!". Blaming MIL for this one as I didn't even buy it as a student.
Marks 1/10, thats just for the funky non natural colour, would brighten up any plate.

Eek - I don't want to get MN into trouble! The lawyers will be crawling all over that post by the morning skribble

well no i think it'd still be a good idea as long as they had a disclaimer saying that information may not be accurate!

i am not thinking of a rating system for food etc but things like
what biscuits are nut free
what yoghurts are sugar free
what ice cream is gluten free

etc etc.... would be very helpful for people weaning, and for people whose kids have allergies
