Can we have a topic telling us why threads have been deleted?

I reported a poster/thread yesterday, and assume that my suspicions were correct, as the thread appears to have been deleted.

But it would be good to know for definite what's happened/why it was deleted.

What do you reckon?

In fact allow me to copy and paste my most favourite Mumsnet reply after I reported myself, complete with grovelling apology, for duplicating my own thread

I'd like to know too. Last night a thread that I thought wasn't offensive was jumped on as being offensive and has disappeared now. If it is explained why then I and others like me can be more informed in the future.
