I know you are dear.

nickelbabe · 27/05/2011 13:36

Shut it Chaos Grin

don't worry, Emmz - you can't close threads, and people will still comment.
what you can do is hide the thread.
just click on the little "hide this thread" line above the comment box or at the top of the page.
then people can comment to their heart's content, and you won't need to see it.

there's nothing wrong with being a bit precious.
Grin

nickelbabe thanks very much. is there an option for unhiding just so i know for future reference?

OP posts:
nickelbabe · 27/05/2011 13:42

I'm not entierly sure where, but I think it's in your profile, where yo ucan click on "see hidden threads"

You've really arrived if you've had a flaming though- just change your name if you're embarrassed- maybe PrincessEmmz? Grin

QuintessentialOldMoo · 27/05/2011 13:47

Somebody suggested you change your name, but I dont think you need to do that! You sound lovely! (if a little misguided regards to weaning bowls Wink )
A welcome addition to mumsnet.

PinotGrigiosKittens · 27/05/2011 13:48

I agree with the lovely Quint, no name change needed. Just out of interest, is said weaning set for your first child or subsequent?

AnnieLobeseder · 27/05/2011 13:48

You're not a proper Mumsnetter until you've had a good flaming!

ZacharyQuack · 27/05/2011 13:57

OP, you need to get back to your thread and start taking the piss out of yourself. Then you'll be a hero and everyone will admire your spirit. Don't run away and hide.

Then change your name to BlueDammitBLUE Grin

can make a link work but not give the full title if you want, such as *> mumsnet.com/Talk/other/1224058

Tee2072 · 27/05/2011 14:36

Gosh, NetworkGuy, where would all us stupid women be without you to come along and condescend to us about how MN works?

NetworkGuy · 27/05/2011 14:38

(I used to do that when the input box 'broke' web links by adding spaces, but it might be useful for other purposes)

OP don't worry - the speed things move your thread will be forgotten by the layabouts on MN all day and all night readers as soon as some Friday night bumsex thread starts Grin

NetworkGuy · 27/05/2011 14:41

had actually written my explanation before seeing your post Tee.

Sorry you considered it such - had in no way been my intention, thanks for pointing out how it might be taken.

Will fuck off if you prefer, just say the words.

AnnieLobeseder · 27/05/2011 14:41

Oh come on, Tee, that was a great tip. Why be so rude, just because it happened to come from a man?

Thanks NetworkGuy, I will be using that. Though I tend to hide my links inside text.
