Need new digital camera. I'm completely lost!

There's too much choice! We have about £200 to spend on a camera and the only specifications are that we want more than a 3X optical zoom and want the least amount of shutter lag as possible. Other than that - we have no preferences.

Our 'old' camera is quite outdated at just 2 years old! I have no idea where to start looking as so many manufacturers are making and updating digital cameras. The Internet is full of them.

Can anyone help with a recommendation if you've bought a new one recently? Thanks

You all just need to get a whizzy new photo printer now!!! We've just got an Epson R800 (after my usual meticulous research) and the results really are quite stunning - it only cost £195 from Currys.

We have an Epson Photo RX500 - not a dedicated photo printer but it will print on photo paper and you can plug camera into it etc - however having heard that you can get downloaded images printed on Kodak paper for 10p a print I'm not sure I'll be bothering with that!
