Pampers nappies

Been using Huggies nappies since he arrived due to vouchers and the like, have just bought a packet of Pampers newborn nappies (with a voucher) is it just me who thinks they are rubbish.

they are so cheap with hardly any padding, they don't even hold half the amount the Huggies do and I swear it starts coming though the back of the things as well, absolute crap, I'm surprised they are so bad, someone must like them as they are a big seller.

I'll buy supermarket own brand over them, if I'm getting crap I might as well get cheap crap instead of expensive crap.

Pampers have recently changed the design of their nappies and are getting slated for it. Lots of people are talking about it, not just here but on the news and on other sites as well.

This was the subject of much debate on Watchdog last night.

Cloth nappies is the way to go!

I tried (free) Huggies Newborn and didn't like at all - leaked. So have been using Pampers and thought they were great. However just bought a load as they were on special offer and in boxes rather than plastic bag and these have been poorer quality. DH reckoned it was a job lot meant for another country and not up to the quality standard we've been used to.

I've had a few leaks with Huggies you just have to check the sides are tucked in correctly.

DS1 has been in pampers and cloth (depending on if at home / nursery / inlaws) since newborn. If nursery forget and use huggies on him he leaks and / gets horrid nappy rash.

DS2 is similar shape as far as i can tell but did awfully in pampers and is now in huggies happily.

Go Figure....

Just got Tesco own brand, they are surprisingly good, proper padding unlike the Pampers and cheaper then the huggies think I'll stick with them now.
