Our new son Harvey is 5 days old and yesterday had 6 changes of clothes! We used huggies newborn. They seem to be leaking at his back . He weighs about 6lb 6oz and is quite long and narrow. Can anyone reccomend suitable nappies??
I can't cope with the washing and waste of nappies.

Hello! My DD is using Popolino (identical to Motherease) one size nappies. She has just moved on to the medium sized wraps and she has suddenly begun to leak wee everso slightly around the legs. We make sure that the nappy is entirely inside the wrap. Has anyone else had this happen to them? Is it because the larger wraps are not as snug as the smaller ones and we will just have to wait for her to fill out a bit more? Have you got any suggestions or solutions?

I had a problem with leaking nappies with my ds when I changed to a larger size and was told by the hv (only useful thing she ever told me) that leaking nappies is usually due to too large nappies. So I went back to the smaller size for another few weeks and no more leaking nappies.
Also, don't forget to pull out the edges all around the leg.

Pampers worked well for me with all three of mine, never had a leak.

Thanks for your suggestions.Yes, I mean slightly damp round the edges wee leaks, Bloss. Do I take it that you have had the same prob? SofiaAmes: I will try folding the nappies a size smaller and get back to you if there is any success. Cheers.

Thanks for your advice (I was never any good with logic). We are trying a slightly tighter setting and it seems ok now. Cheers all.

colette, my son was under 6lbs at birth and he is now 3 years old. since birth we have only use pampers brand and have found that they seem to work the best. we never had problems with leaks or anything and they fit very well. arent too tight anywhere and seem to be comfortable. hope u have luck!
