Non organic sun cream is full of nasty (if nice smelling ) chemicals....or you burn . Pick the lesser of two evils.

I used to use ORGANIC SUNCREAM ON my precious DC, but it was thick and gloopy, and it was easier to say indoors.

Aren't sunscreens either mineral or chemical? How can they be organic in the sense that we understand food to be organically reared/grown?

sunscreens are a minefield. Do not judge by organic/non organic

I think you'll find that even 'organic' ones contain chemical active ingredients which absorb the sun's rays. This absorption breaks down the chemicals and there is much debate as to whether these ingredients or their metabolites (what they get turned into when exposed to sun) can cause harm as they are absorbed into the skin

I always go for a purely mineral sunscreen and look out for either zinc oxide or titanium dioxide. These mineral sunscreen are photostable (won't break down), will not be absorbed by the body and reflect the sun's rays

They are the safest whether you buy them as organic products or not

I get Lavera (they happen to be organic)

Sooty - No mineral cream is designed to 'rub in' - it sits on top of the skin and reflects the sun's rays - having said that I find it pleasant to use, an other to try is Dr Haushka but that is more expensive - oh and it's not greasy
