i have just got one. its the original magic bullet, the other cheaper ones arent as good. got mine off qvc cheaper than the othern channels.

QueenOfQuotes · 07/08/2005 21:20

Misdee - is that the one that chops and grates stuff easily?

I saw an ad for that a week or so back - the only thing I've ever seen advertised on those channels that really looked good.

misdee · 07/08/2005 21:23

yes, it the chopping, whisking little thing. today i have made my ligherlife icecream wqith it, and the kids milkshakes (i got dd2 to drink milk after 1year of not drinking it!!!). it chops ice really easily.

charlie95 · 07/08/2005 21:27

the one in magazine is absolutely identical to magic bullet but does not say magic bullet on it. thats the only difference. we compared to sky today.
out of interest how many recipes are in the book that come with it ?

OP posts:
misdee · 07/08/2005 21:30

apparently the blades arent as good and the speed they turn isnt as high [shrug]. i tend to go for more pricey kitch goods. havent had a chance to flick through the recipie book yet, but got it as my other blender has gone missing over various house moves, and needed a new one for babyfood.

charlie95 · 08/08/2005 21:44

thanks misdee. we agreed to listen to your advice and thought it best to order the more expensive one off sky - presumably it will last whereas the other may not ?

OP posts:
misdee · 08/08/2005 21:46

good choice. mine has been in use all day. dd2 wanted milkshakes, and i used it to make an iced mocha this morning (with a foodpack of course).

champs · 09/08/2005 22:52

hiya!! it's brill. be careful tho as the cheaper ones are not the same and often only come with two mugs and no blender.
I got one from woolworths but it's called Amazing Bullet (it was less than half the prize it was on shopping channel.) same as Magic Bullet but i think re-packaged for UK. i was waiting for JML to do it as they did with the ultimate chopper. and pounced on it when i saw it!!

Trinab75 · 05/10/2005 22:45

Hi, just wondering how you aare getting on with these, as I am thinking of buying one this weekend?

Are they any good for making fruit smoothies?

ScarySkribble · 05/10/2005 22:57

Heres one for £29.99.
Heres indetical one for £65 with full description.

Trinab75 · 06/10/2005 09:18

Thanks SS, that offer seems fab. Just dont know whether I would get some use out of it, or if it would turn out to be something cluttering the back of the cupboard, but for that price will give it a go!

Furball · 06/10/2005 09:23

LOL to all those who thought the thread was about vibrators, so clicked on it - including myself!

ScarySkribble · 06/10/2005 23:20

Trin I think this is better than most as it doesn't take up as much room on worktop as most processors. The trouble is once they are put in a cupboard they are never seen again.
