Don't know really.... Would like to think we can get some nice ones for less than £1,000 ??

I would really recommend FLEXA we have three kids under five and we currently have one single (mid height bed) and a set of bunks all in flexa. The beauty of the range is it is all modular so you can convert to bunks, high beds, l shaped beds etc etc...just by buying connectors not the whole new beds. It is also very well made and solid wood-all ours come via ebay and you would not know it was second hand.
"Look at flexa.dk/English/Inspiration/4-6_years.aspx,

You'd get nice ones from Aspace for that budget.

I have these cheeky charlie and lovely as they are, wouldn't buy from the company again.

I got these last year (from a different company) and they are very good, ds & dd2 share and their room still smells of the wood,

read the reviews and paniced but dh only took 2 hours max to put them together

although I ordered the superior matress and I wouldn't like to see the bog standard matress

we currently have a thuka shorty midsleeper for ds1.

reasons i like it:

it's very sturdy
it has a slanting ladder
it can be turned into a full size bed
it can be turned into bunk beds, either short or full length (this is the bit you want!)
it can be turned into a midsleeper

they're so versatilel. love them. bought from a nice company called rainbowwood.co.uk

We have the M&S pine bunks. They are really nice and solid and we are very pleased with them. They even put them together for you in the room as part of the service.

Chrysanthamum · 27/04/2010 21:11

M&S bunkbeds were recommended to us on this site. They're fab- bottom bunk is so cosy and with such a good mattress that i've slept in it all night with our 2yr old to escape dhs snoring sounds. They often have discount deals as well.

duckyfuzz · 27/04/2010 21:12

M&S good, for the reasons mentioned (and they tidy up all the packaging too!) we have the cabin beds but they are the same thing

duckyfuzz · 27/04/2010 21:13

only £349

teddymummy · 27/04/2010 21:15

Look in the sale- its true they do reduce them in the summer sale if you can wait a while. Even without a discount they are a reasonable price- and yes I have slept in the bottom bunk and it was surprisingly comfy and a full 3ft size.

pixierara · 27/04/2010 22:15

I have white ikea ones...they are fab!
