motherinferior · 27/07/2005 16:15

Maya Gold not so high in choc but fairly traded unlike the rest of G&B (check the logo) putting me in liberalpinkocliche dilemma again.

Tinker · 27/07/2005 16:16

Oh, just eat it and angst later

hewlettsdaughter · 27/07/2005 16:17

Maya Gold is the only fairly traded G&B's chocolate? I didn't know that. Explains why you see it in Oxfam though.

hewlettsdaughter · 27/07/2005 16:17

Tinker

marthamoo · 27/07/2005 16:18

I ddidn't know the rest of G&B was not fair traded, MI In fact I assumed it was because Maya Gold is. Maya Gold's my favourite anyway but I have just discovered the butterscotch milk chocolate one Can I not have it now?

motherinferior · 27/07/2005 16:36

If you look closely, Maya Gold is the only one bearing the FairTrade mark. I think the other types are produced in a less appalling manner than most mainstream brands, though, so I justify my gluttony that way.

Divine Dark is fairly traded but not as nice and harder to get hold of.

and of course g&b has sold out to cadbury anyway, so we probably shouldn't be eating any of it at all..

sorrel · 27/07/2005 16:44

can you get cadbury caramello where you are?

bet you can't!! hehehehe

NotQuiteCockney · 27/07/2005 16:50

I'm really unhappy about cadbury's buying them, even though cadbury isn't that bad, is it? It's one of those old English brands with the factory towns and all, right?

I really love the G&B ice cream, particularly their chocolate orange.

Divine isn't as nice. Also, is it organic?
