Can anyone recommend a good hand moisturiser?

I had my dd 4 months ago and have found that my hands have become very dry with all of the hand washing and use of alcohol rub. It's got to the point where the skin on my fingers is splitting

Can anyone recommend a good moisturiser that won't make my hands greasy?

Thanks in advance x

i use Crabtree & Evelyn Hand Remedy in the Citron fragrance. The best hand cream I have used EVER. It comes in various fragrances.

Hi,

I'm with the Crabtree and Evelyn crowd: Gardener's Hand Therapy. The only hand cream that works. If the skin splits are really bad I use Lansinoh (left over from breast feeding days). I have a small pot of Burt Bee's stuff for my handbag.

I've found my hands are getting better now the weather is warming up.

Only just realised this thread is still active - alcohol rub only used when changing nappies in public spaces where getting to a sink is nigh on impossible! I go out with the girls each week to a garden centre and in the baby change there is no sink. The toilets are a distance from the tea shop so use alcohol rub before returning dd to friend to go wash hands in proper sink.
Thanks for advice!
Now dd is getting bigger it's getting easier and now weather warming up my hands are getting better.

That C&E Gardeners Hand Therapy is the first to have any impact on my scaly hands in YEARS.

Garnier Hydrolock and Garnier handrepair are the best I've had, found em far better then the Norwegian formula stuff.

Lotil. Buy it from a pharmacist. Smells a bit medicated but the only thing I find that works. My DH is away a lot and the first sign of stress is my hands. I think because i am wiping bums, changing nappies and washing up alone for those times thats why my hands go mad. It's the only thing that works without stinging.

I use alcohol gel and wash my hands a lot at work and my hands really suffer.

I use Aveeno at home and I use E45 at work (well its basic aqueous cream in a dispenser) and it really really helps.

I find frequency is important. I have to moisturise each time my hands get wet, and then every half an hour or so...

another vote for clarins hand and nail treatment cream from me!
