10ft or 12 ft netted trampoline for the garden?

We have space for a big one, but not sure which to get (big price difference on the one we want). I have 3 boys - 8, 5, and 1. They will only get bigger! What size do you have and what size do you think I should get?

We have a large oval one which is fantastic and gives a lot of extra space. I think it is from Jumpking and we got it online complete with a net.

I have 4 kids, but the youngest in 2 so not allowed on the trampoline yet, the others are 12,9,8 and we have a 10ft one, and thats fine for them, the 12ft ones are HUGE.

Smaller one, big one only encourages al together.

Anyway, why don't you dig a big hole in the ground and put it in. Then you get a nice ground level trampoline.

laughterlines · 14/02/2010 13:43

The oval ones also mean they can bounce at separate ends and not all in the middle

Seriously?? Can you do that? We are actually having the garden totally redone so could do this, but how on earth does that work?

Our neighbours have dug their tramploine into the ground. It was a lot of hard work but means there is no need for a net - very wired walking straight onto a bouncy floor though

laughterlines · 14/02/2010 13:45

very wired = very wierd

probono · 14/02/2010 13:55

Yes you dig a hole the height of the trampoline and as big (obviously ) as the trampoline. You might as well, you aren't going to use that big of garden for anything else, and it's safer, and you won't have to look at a socking great trampoline.

Can we sink our trampoline into the ground?

Yes, this is an excellent option, as it will increase the safety and make your trampoline less visible. The distance between the mat and the bottom of the hole needs to be at least 3 feet. If your water table is high you will need to provide drainage. Also be sure to use the legs as they provide necessary support to the circular frame. For more information please contact us.

We've had great success with these 10FT Trampoline with Enclosure 's from Playtimes, they offer free shipping and can be sunk safely.
