no I have umpteen lamps

lemonice · 12/07/2005 12:57

the trouble with lamps is that you then have to have tables and people put things on them all the time...don't they?

The motion sensors in the bathrooms are also light sensitive. ie they only work if you walk into the bathroom at night. The idea is that when you need a toilet trip in the middle of the night, you dont have to fumble for the lightswitch and then get blinded by a too bright light and then have to remember to turn it off. It is also very useful for the kids as they can go to the loo by themselves at night.

i bet you'd all be jealous of my lights in our new house. They are circa 1970, Wooden wall lights, complete with tasselled lampshades with hunting scenes embellished on them.Think early 70's Berni Inn decor & you will know what I mean.

In our lounge we have two spot lights in the bay and the main ceiling light plus table lamps which provide us with the lighting we like and need. The dining room has the traditional wall lights in alcoves and ceiling light which is uninspired but does the job. Our bathroom has spot lights on two circuits which highlights the shower and bath area seperately and which I really like. The previous owners went a bit mad with lighting and plug sockets in this house and we have two ceiling lights in the halls and bedrooms for some strange reason...
