Anyone know where I can get one?

I like the Warren Evans style and will probably go for one of those, but before I do, are they good quality? And anyone seen anything better?

I actually wouldn't mind something slightly more ornate, but I prefer wood to wrought iron or fabric.
DP is tall so no end board as he likes to hang his feet over the end.

The mattress is the most thing - Vspring ones are good.

Crikey, that was fast, thanks!

Vspring eh? Off to research...

sorry Vi-Spring. Here

pofarced · 22/01/2010 17:55

I try to please

Another vote for Vi-spring. So comfortable. Does make it even harder to get up in the morning though.

squashedfrogs · 22/01/2010 17:56

It's not very exciting to look at but I've just bought one of these. It was not cheap but is soooooo comfy and is meant to last 15 years. The mattress is the bulk of the cost so if you don't fancy a divan you could probably find a bedframe and just buy the mattress on its own.

Heathcliffscathy · 22/01/2010 17:57

yes they are GREAT quality.

but mostly it depends on mattress.

warren evans come with 10 year no quibble guarantee.

and they take your old bed away!

I think a Warren Evand bed with a Vi-spring mattress a v good combination. I have a wrought iron bed frame and would rather have a wooden one.

LowLevelWhingeing · 22/01/2010 18:10

That's really helpful, thanks!

Had a look at one of the Vi-spring stockists near me and WOW, fancy or what??!

Will be researching over the weekend.

I much prefer a tempur mattress to a Vi-Spring.

LowLevelWhingeing · 22/01/2010 18:20

Yes, we have a memory foam topper at the moment, and while I HATE it's 'topper-ness' (and constant slipping down the bed-ness, grrrr) the memory bit was a bit of a revelation for us.

We had a tempur mattress and couldn't get used to it at all, too hard for us. My back ached in the morning. But loads of people like them. Just have to do your research properly I suppose.

CantSleepWontSleep · 22/01/2010 18:25

They can take a few days to get used to. But the great thing is that if you don't like it you can send it back for a full refund!

I've got the oak kingsize, it is lush!
