Are those Dulux Paintpods any good?

We've got a HUUUUUUUGE painting job to do and I was wondering whether it'd be a worthwhile purchase?

Also, do you HAVE to use the paintpod paint? What's the difference between that and normal paint?

I helped my friend decorate her house with one and it was awful I'm afraid!

The paint has to be really thin so you need to do three or four coats.

You would be far better off with 'trade' paint and expensive rollers, maybe rope in a couple of friends in return for a lovely meal and booze?

It's very very messy too - not at all what you'd expect

that's what I was hoping not to hear!!

Never mind, I've got loads of baby weight to shift so a bit of hard work is probably a good idea!!!!

thanks TDWP x

Glad to help!

How big is the job (nosy)

I actually love painting - radio on loud, cans of beer, silly clothes..good times.

Well unless there are children in the house (bad memories of attempting to paint DS's room alone when he was 2 weeks old) I thought it would be a lovely nesty thing to do - in reality I got 1/2 a wall done splashed paint everywhere and even got paint on him. H came home to find me covered in paint and tears haha.

I'm attempting to do our hallway and landing, pretty big job. Then there's sanding down the fireplace and spray painting white (I'm really seriously looking forward to that). Then there's the lounge. Then all three bathrooms need doing. THEN the kitchen diner. So basically the whole house except bedrooms.

Oops. Just realised DS1 and DS2's bedrooms need painting!!!!!

Fancy coming over. I'll buy in some nice wine!!!!!

I've got a 5 month old and a 2 1/2 yr old in the house plus a 13 and 10 yr old who will want to 'help'
