Hi - has anyone got one of these? They come in various sizes and the white ones have canvas drawers or you can get different colours with nylon drawers. I think they are very over priced myself (£300 for the big one) but DH is quite interested for the kids clothes and I just wondered how well made they are. Always nervous of ordering something so big and pricey when you haven't seen it.

If anyone has anything from this range please let me know how you get on with it, or if you know of a company that makes a similar thing for less money. Otherwise I think we will be off to Ikea this weekend....but these ones do look really good.

John Lewis do some similar stuff - we got a little teeny weeny chest of drawers and its great - not sure what else they do in the range but its worth checking. the material is calico but can't remember the name of the range.

I've not seen the ones you mentioned but Argos do canvas drawers and wardrobes.

The ones in John Lewis do look very similar but they don't do the large 12 drawer one which is what I need. Doesn't have to be fabric drawers - just that this one caught DHs eye. What I need is an attractive LARGE chest of drawers as it has to hold all the clothes for DS (4.5) and DD (3.5) - the current drawers I have only have 4 drawers so I have to wait until half their clothes are in the wash until I can put everything away!

I want to pinch this one for the new baby so need a new one for them but they are in a tiny box room, barely room to their toddler size bunks so have to be very canny with space. Hope eventually to move my office into new extension so one of them can move into the other large bedroom/playroom but until then......... Figure I need at least 7 or 8 drawers but it can't be too deep. V. Tricky. Not much suitable in ikea catalogue which is why I'm looking elsewhere....

If the JL range is the same has anyone got any of these. Just worried how robust it will be if its fabric but look great and won't look too "heavy" in the room IYSWIM

Katherine, we are currently using loads of white plastic drawers which stack from MUJI as the most cost-effective and space-effective solution. They come in lots of different sizes - there might be one that fits? Not super-attractive but quite cheap.

Katherine, the ones that you can buy from the various catalogues are very well-made and the canvas is covered in a waterproofing which makes them last much longer (and stain less) than regular calico drawers.

Oh can you beleive it. Spent yesterday afternoon mooching at the drawer units in Ikea agonising and arguing about what to do. We both loved the urchin ones but simply couldn't justify the money. However most of the ones in Ikea where either too big, too small or too flimsy. We eventually chose one from the office section as it seemed more solid. Trailed to the warehouse, agonised some more then lugged 2 of them home. DH (the star) spent the evening putting one set of drawers together and then we realised that was exactly what we had bought - a set of drawers! It was part of a system and you buy the frame seperaratly. So now I've got drawers stacked everywhere and nowhere to fit them. Arghhhhhhhhh. Which means anther trip back to Ikea this week on my own (with DD in tow). So that will be another morning wasted. Can't beleive we were so daft........
