GHD hair straighteners, is there a cheaper alternative???

Just had my hair done and it has made me realise how much I need some ghd's as it always looks so smooth and straight when my hairdresser uses them. In my hairdressers they cost £103. Now is there either a very good, cheaper alternative and if not can I get the ghd's cheaper anywhere? TIA

£87 now - but it includes "spray starch" (whatever that is) and some clips - look fantastic (You have to register or join or something but it doesn't cost anything )

I've just bought some Babyliss 2161U, they're wet and dry straighteners and seem to have good reviews on the net, they cost me £27.99 from EBay.
I've tried them out and they seem really good.

Hairtools ones from eBay are good, they're about £35.

Had hair cut on fri last pm and came home, dh most impressed, even i thought I looked a bit like jennifer anniston (yeah right)

But yes, find I need ghd straighteners as rec by hairdresser after all.

Now all I need is an ancient pair of kakky ones from someone to do the trade-in.

It's a whole new world isn't it. My mum on me telling her this remarked, but dear, your hair's straight anyway!!

I am lucky as I have an old pair that are completely broken so am using those. I still have a pair of Babyliss ones that do work so am holding onto those. I am def. going to get a pair of ghd's but do feel bad in a way as they are so expensive and it does feel extravagent. However I am going to justify it to myself by reminding myself how much time I will save with them!

Right before I spend £100 (well £80 after my voucher) are there any cheaper alternatives?

Noooo My sister and I bought a pair of straightners at the same time. I bought the GHD and they are still going strong. When I used hers the other day (good make though I can't remember which) and they are knackered but she only saved herself £20!!

I use Remington ceramic straighteners cs3000 from Argos priced £24.40, they are not as good as the ghd ones but my hair is really thick and they do work for me and I have tried a few!.

i like my corrioliss. got them for 70.

Waiting for my envelope from ghd to take my old broken ones away. Once I get my £20 I am off to the ghd shop with my (gulp) £80

Just bought some for £40 Boots online. Half price.

Strawberry - ghd's???

No not GHD but new ceramic ones from Mark Hill. They arrived yesterday and they work as well as my friends GHD ones. I used to have steam ones which are useless.

there are some omline somewhere that were£40 and rea as having the same 'spec '! as ghds but my hairdresser reckons thres no alternative and they should replace them if they break(so worth the money)-i still cant afford them (sob)
