Canon LiDE 80 at £89.59 inc delivery at Misco

GeorginaA · 23/06/2005 21:49

Ah, Epson can take transparencies, plain paper, slides, film. Canon can take "35mm film negatives with the included Film Adapter Unit"

So I assume that when they say film they mean the negatives?

GeorginaA · 23/06/2005 21:50

Gawd the specs are particularly gobbledigook aren't they?!

RTKangaMummy · 23/06/2005 21:59

The prob is I need it tomorrow so need to actually buy it rather than delivery

That is why going to RL supplies as DH can go there tomorrow

Ah fair enough - still looks like good pricing at RL supplies compared to RRP. You're certainly not getting ripped off.

Can you go with or get dh to inspect very carefully how the negative thing works to check its exactly what you want?

RTKangaMummy · 23/06/2005 22:07

here are some more details

I could go with him but think they will telk over our heads DH doesn't know anything about computers or photos either IYSWIM

Yes, always a danger

I have to say, Digital Photo magazine hasn't given me a duff recommend yet. If they say the Epson is the best in its price range then it is genuinely the best. It sounds like it has the quality you need for a very nice price. From the looks of things, the Canon and the Epson are fairly similar in spec, but the Epson is cheaper. Both manufacturers have good reputations in both the photographic and computer world.

Oh btw... print off the deals on the net I found and get dh to take them with him. I BET he could get them to price match or at least knock a bit off the price for you. Worth a try either way, isn't it
