Freeview to Virgin - anyone switched?

We have Virgin phone & broadband and Freeview TV.

Virgin have been trying to get us to take their TV package as well for ages. Have always resisted, as it would have meant paying extra for channels I didn't want, not getting channels I wanted, etc.

It now seems they have caved in and are offering the "full" service to existing customers, not the "medium" - this means we get all the Freeview channels plus Sky One and Gold and others - for, they say, no extra charge.

The only catch appears to be an additional bundle of sports channels which we have free for 2 months and are then made to pay £15 for - no doubt that we need to cancel this proactively or it is automatically debited on the 3rd month.

Anyone done it? Any other hidden catches?
Thanks...

We've found some features of Virgin TV very useful and I rely a lot on V+, their equivalent of Sky Plus (on this I think Virgin is actually cheaper/better). I think I probably don't make as much use of extra channels as I might, it does depend on what programmes you want to watch.

A word of caution though, is it possible to keep your Freeview box hooked up to a TV aerial in another room perhaps? We've had dreadful problems since Thursday though, with TV, internet and phone down most of that time. We do have a live TV connection but I've misplaced a vital bit of a Freeview gadget to use with it and can't even remember that I need to watch terrestrial programmes "live" if I'm not to miss them.

I actually found this thread looking to see if others had had problems here, as there seem to be issues of the kind I'm having going on in other bits of London and round the country. Of course, those affected probably can't get online to whinge unless they have alternative internet access (work or mobile broadband).
