Is any one going to Tescos soon?

Please help me - i fell in love with a dress for my DD, it would be perfect for her christening, but i cannot find it in her size any where. I have beeen to 7 different stores in the area, my mum is checking out the ones near her. I have emailed tescos who are absolutely no help at all. In the stores they say they can phone a different store for me - this is my last attempt!
It is whits, cotton, with butterflies embroidered on it and a couple of sparkles. It is £12 and the code is 5000358147360. I need a 12-18mths, and will obviously pay any postage!
Hope someone can help!

Have you tried putting a request on the want it now section of E-bay?? Someone may have one (in decent condition) that they'd be willing to part with....

Afraid our Tesco doesn't sell clothes

moniker · 10/06/2005 11:01

There was an 18 to 24 months in our local Tesco, but no 12-18 months - sorry.

fee77 · 10/06/2005 11:49

I think toothache is asking her husband, but please look if you can - i don't mind if i get two!

sorry. Nothing even close in our Tesco - couldn't even find the dress. (Although they did have some really pretty cotton dresses (white with blue-ish pattern) with little white cardigans for £15.

Hope someone else can help.

hunkermunker · 10/06/2005 12:39

I'll look - might go to Tesco tomorrow am, I think.

Magscat · 10/06/2005 14:00

Just been checking the Sale items at Vertbaudet and saw this .

Just thought it looked good for a christening (in case you can't get the Tesco's dress)

fee77 · 10/06/2005 16:07

I couldn't get the link to work, but thatnks for thinking of me. There is a white dress with pink flowers on that i have been looking at.

moniker · 10/06/2005 16:18

do you want the 18-24 months one if they've still got it??

fee77 · 10/06/2005 16:21

No thanks moniker - dd is 20mths, but quite small so it will drown her! Thanks for looking though.

hunkermunker · 11/06/2005 21:25

Fee77, I went to Tesco in Watford today and no joy, I'm afraid

redshoes · 11/06/2005 21:43

Fee, I saw those dresses in Sussex a few weeks ago and they FLEW out of the shop - I went back to get one and there was no trace of them! They were pretty..

almostanangel · 12/06/2005 18:09

none in maldon sorry

fee77 · 12/06/2005 20:02

Thanks for looking everyone! I still haven't found an alternative! Still 5 weeks to go though so no panic yet

kath4kids · 12/06/2005 20:54

As an alternative went to Asda today and they have beautiful christening dresses in the baby section up to 18 months could buy matching hats, cardigans and socks. They were so cute.

Sorry don't go to Tesco

QueenFlounce · 12/06/2005 21:24

Tis me... Toothache... can't be bothered changing my name back yet.

DH is going to check the system tomorrow to make sure it is still available from Tesco in general (may not be for re-order). Then he can send out an internal email to the 4 really large stores near my house. So I should know by Tuesday.

fee77 · 13/06/2005 08:08

Thanks toothache - you're a star! And thanks kath4kids, but i didn't really want a christening dress - more of a normal pretty dress that she may wear again, when we are somewhere clean!

Hi fee77.

Just to let you know that I tried the Poole Tescos this evening. They had the dresses but only 3-4years and upwards.
Sorry.
