I want some sandals

Everyday and comfy - but trendy (I loathe that word) and chunky - not Mumsy or girlie.

They have to have a back ankle strap - ie., not mule type.

Black I think, though would consider brown.

Something along the lines of these

I can't find a UK stockist for all those styles (I like the fourth ones down). But I'd also like to see some other than DMs (am worried they will be a bit heavy for sandals)

Any ideas for similar styles?

They do look comfy, but not quite what I'm after.

That James and James place is excellent, JT - starlover posted a link further down (don't worry though, I know you're knocking on a bit, love).

I guess with a nickname like Satine you probably wear heels all the time I'm a flattie person myself!

These are the ones I like on Raw. £70 though

grumpymarthamoo · 09/06/2005 14:10

Mmmmm, aren't these nice?

JoolsToo · 09/06/2005 14:10

eh? SPEAK UPPPPPPPPPPPPP!

JoolsToo · 09/06/2005 14:11

no - they're grim!

grumpymarthamoo · 09/06/2005 14:11

YOU GO AND HAVE A LIE DOWN, LOVIE. PUT YOUR FEET UP FOR A BIT.

grumpymarthamoo · 09/06/2005 14:11

Which are grim, my lovely sandals or the hideous high heeled trainers?

yoyo · 09/06/2005 14:11

If you go onto Zebraz's link and look at Women's Pretty Rugged Leather you will see some Tevas. They're fantastic. Really comfy, not too clumpy and look fab with jeans (I wear them with long denim skirts too).

JoolsToo · 09/06/2005 14:14

those pointy-toed fishing baskets - ugh!

Satine · 09/06/2005 18:33

I do wear heels most of the time but that's because I have been cursed with awful legs (huge calves like a footballer) so flat shoes make me look like the Queen Mum. But ye gods those high heeled trainers are revolting!

I got a pair of DMs in the end. Can't find a picture to show you - but they're very 'me'! And very comfy.
