No idea about the pre-printed colouring in version but for drawing, what about rolls of lining paper from a DIY shop? So cheap it's virtually free

jampots · 31/05/2005 14:06

Good old Ikea!

motherinferior · 31/05/2005 14:07

And it's thick so they can splosh around watercolours on it, too.

Agree with bakedpotato. My very clever nanny went to the hardware/DIY shop recently and bought a big/cheap roll of lining paper. It's blank of course, but you could let kids draw freeform, or could draw in some shapes in advance...

Lisalisa, my younger daughter has been spotted hauling out the roll of paper, carefully unrolling it and starting to draw with gusto - and she's not yet two! IME they love it.

I think i remember Urchin having something like this, not sure it was a roll, may have been a huge sheet to go up on a wall

We have a roll of lining paper hung on the back of the kids bedroom door so they can use the door as the easel IYSWIM. Saves them taking up acres of floor space whilst drawing.
