I need a booster seat for my DS ( age 21 months ) so that he can join us at the dinner table.

Any advice on ones you love or hate ?

We've got the cheapest one out of Argos which has been fine for us. The only thing is that DS can now (26 months) undo the harness. It doesn't really bother me because he doesn't do anything daft. Just a bit annoying when I undo it get him down and he fastens it up again.

We use a tripp trapp chair which gets them at the right height and is nice and wipes down quite well. and you adjust it as they grow, so it is always comfortable for them. both my 2.5 and 5 year olds love theirs - great for drawing etc at the table as well.

We bought the Tomy one (c£20) because it had the longest straps to secure it to chair (our dining chairs were really wide across the back and seat). Also you have the choice of 2 heights as a booster depending which way up you use it. "tray" was useless though, too small and flimsy and never used it.

One thing to be aware - we use the inflatable Safety First one, which is very portable and generally great, but recently tried to tie it on an Arne Jacobson Butterfly chair rip-off at a friend's - the curvy shape meant it was really hard to get it tight enough. Also because her table had a "lip" around the edge, we couldn't get DS up to the table because his legs wouldn't fit underneath. With a highchair that is designed to fit at the table (Tripp Trapp, Ikea chair) you don't have that problem because their legs dangle down, IYSWIM. The Handysitt might also be OK, and has had several good reviews on here.
