Can I buy a special laptop tray to stop my legs from burning up?

When I am not wearing much.

Like now.

The laptop is so hot and I have a blanket under it, but that's making me hot too. I use pillows sometimes but they wobble.

I know I should have it on a table, but that is not comfy.

Maybe I could use those trays that have the cushion attached. The ones you're meant to eat your dinner off whilst watching tv!

I am aware I am answering my own question!!

May have already been said, but I got told off by my(expert in computers)brother because not having the laptop on a solid top and especially using it on a fabric top(like a duvet)apparently will fry the processor! making Mumsnetting impossible!!!

Will get onto it.

Haven't been to any shops as been busy every single day of the school holidays so far.

You definitely need to use a laptop tray.

The trouble with using a blanket or cushion is that it will block the air intakes to the laptop and cause them to overheat. Also, fibres from the blanket could make their way inside the machine where they will clog up the cooling system. Cleaning it out can be an expensive repair job and will not usually be covered by warranty.

I have written a series of posts about this (and how to fix it) here: www.etray.co.uk/etraynews/why-etrays-dont-have-fans/

I Hope thsi helps.
