crunchie you recommended the CDA one to me!

CountessDracula · 24/05/2005 22:37

(not that I would buy yours as is too countryish for me!!)

Demented · 24/05/2005 23:20

This is mine here , I have it in cream (old house so it looks good). I love my range cooker and I particularly like the cast iron lids that come down over the rings, covers the grot! However it I had my chance again I would probably go for either the Rangemaster or a Cannon. At the time we had moved to this house and desperately needed a new cooker, think we got the cooker and the hood for just about the £1,000 mark.

Enid · 25/05/2005 13:39

I don't like them

what's wrong with a normal sized cooker?

Agas nice though.

chipmonkey · 25/05/2005 14:50

I have a Stoves cooker and it has given me trouble from the start. A friend also has problems with hers. LOve the pink range cooker. Jordan has a pink one hasn't she?

chipmonkey · 25/05/2005 14:51

Enid, I think they're great if you need to cook 2 things at different temperatures. I held off buying one because that usually only happens to me at Christmas!

noddyholder · 25/05/2005 14:53

a normal cooker doesn't look as good in a big kitchen

soapbox · 25/05/2005 14:57

Enid - we all fancy ourselves as domestic goddesses

Ot should that be 'coddesses'

It does come in very handy at times when you need more than one oven, christmas, parties etc!

Demented · 25/05/2005 15:58

Enid, I have one because I think it suits the style of my kitchen (would have loved an Aga but couldn't afford it) and I love having two full sized ovens, I use one for meat/savoury type dishes that make a mess and keep the other one for baking/puddings and bread. I love the cast iron griddle that came with mine for making pancakes or griddling bacon or steaks and the extra rings are a bonus, although I have yet to use them all at once but have come very close.

Enid · 25/05/2005 17:24

I have two ovens in a normal sized oven. And I am a 'Domestic Goddess TM'.

crunchie · 25/05/2005 21:01

Enid I love mine too. I often use both ovens at the same time. I am veggie and my family aren't so if i do a big sunday roast with all the potates in one oven, I have trays of roasting veg and pudding in the other

CD My cooker is not countryish, it is sleek and silver. I think I suggested mine to you but it was more expensive. You saw the CDA one and I agreed it was god (not to be pedantic ) Mine is the b**cks if you have £1500 - £2000 to spend, but at less than £1000 the CDA is good too. Stoves and Bellings are OK too

sunchowder · 25/05/2005 21:27

I just redid my kitchen about 2 years ago and went crazy. I love it though--it was my dream for a long time and I will be paying it off for some time. I did alot of research and can forward anything that you like. This is my range Coddy: DacorDualFuel

I also have what is called a stove stack over here, which is a microwave, wall oven and a warming drawer which I love. This is my second oven oven and warming drawer which is underneath the oven warmingdrawer
My microwave looks like this one microwave I also went crazy looking for cabinet knobs and found this fab website knobs I ended up choosing several different ones and I love them all myknobs My home PC is on the blink and I have lost all of my MSN IM address book, etc. CAT me if you like or my at work id which I am at all the time is wread at avaya.com

Enid · 25/05/2005 21:28

crunchie - you agreed it was god

I am just jealous, I want one really.
