I have £40 in vouchers to spend in Lakeland. What shall I buy?

DH has suggested a yogurt maker which we looked at a few weeks ago and decided to leave it until we had spare money.

I have a lot of their products all ready but also have some cheapey things that I am looking to replace with decent ones. I bought the £30 frying pan last month and I love it.

Any ideas would be great as I can't find my catalogue and people's recommendations are always fun to consider.

TIA.

Ooh ooh ooh get one of these and then report back on it! You can always return it but Cocolepew and I got mocked about wanting one and I want someone to give it a try!

moffat · 12/07/2009 18:58

If you have laminate flooring, get the microfibre mop.

LaurieFairyCake · 12/07/2009 18:59

this fabby compost bin is half price, you can never have enough of those

MrsBadger · 12/07/2009 19:02

if you have hard floors the mop with the heads that go in the washing machine
[rummages]
this one
and a spare head

Definitely not the toaster and egg poacher.

DH can't get excited about the compost bin.

I have a mop from Lakeland already but this one looks interesting but what do you use to clean the floor with? I can't see just water being enough on the floor under where the kids sit.

I only use water with the mop - if the floor is very dirty I wipe it over first with floor spray and kitchen towel, then go over it with the mop as that prevents streaking.

brimfull · 12/07/2009 19:10

ooh ooh I have that mop

a recent buy from lakeland and it is faberooni

my floors are so clean and no buckets needed

def enough for v dirty floors

would also recommend their baking tins as well

MrsBadger · 12/07/2009 19:13

I spray the (damp) head with multipurpose cleaner if the floor is especially bad

the scrubby strip is ace though

Malkuth · 12/07/2009 19:31

Oh well it was worth a try!

FabBakerGirlIsBack · 12/07/2009 19:35

Our toaster isn't that old and I have egg poachers so I can't justify it really.

Malkuth · 12/07/2009 19:41

No I couldn't either but still really want one. Someone on the other thread said that as long as you have the receipt you can take things back at any time, however used, so make sure you keep it safe and you could try everything on the list!

sickofsocalledexperts · 12/07/2009 19:49

I absolutely swear by my Lakeland £30 electronic carpet/floor sweeper. It's so much lighter than a hoover and has changed my kitchen floor out of all recognition.

FabBakerGirlIsBack · 12/07/2009 19:51

Now that sounds like a possible..

LibrasBiscuitsOfFortune · 12/07/2009 20:06

I need that mop.

FabBakerGirlIsBack · 13/07/2009 12:14

Oooooooo jam stuff.

when I sit with a Lakeland catalogue..... I want MOST of the things in there..... in that Lakeland trance I NEED most of the things in there... it's a kind of lovesickness, A kind of longing.....

these are fabulous though, I would not be without them and onlyl 3.91!

lowlandlady · 13/07/2009 22:52

FabBakerGirlIsBack

you want one of these don't you? I do too!

FabBakerGirlIsBack · 14/07/2009 08:16

Got the pegs already and did consider the jam maker but not enough vouchers.

I went to lakeland yesterday and it was really hard to find what to buy as I have nearly everything already.

Have to take the kids to school now but I will post later what I bought if anyone is interested.

But has anyone been to the mothership oh glorious lakeland in the lakes? The emporium of joy and storage solutions? The bazaar of bounty? The marketplace of magnificence?

I had so little time when I went there I could weep!
