do ireally have to pay 137 pounds for a tripp trapp?!!!

please do not try to convert me to some other highchair as i have borrowed one and this is the one i WANT...grrrrr, woman rant!
but....does it need to cost this much?! babyset included! anyone know of a choeaper way?! or have some discount code that could help little me?! oh woe, woe, woe is little me, wanting to live above my means with a tripp trapp and a pony and a masseur...mmmmm a massage that would be fab, and a pedicure for my long forgotten feet, oh could it be just two summers ago i lavished attention on you, i buffed, i pfiled, i polished and now you are long forgotten, since the days when i could no longer reach you for my growing bump and i thought it would just be a tempoirary parting...oh silly me...
anyway, can anyone help?

oh yes, thanku, that is quite nice! thing i like about the tripp trapp is that it has a good second hand value on ebay!

actually have 40.oo of mothercare vouchers lying around somewhere if anyone has a code to get me helped a little there then i could stretch my finances without so much of the elastic snapping if you know what i mean!

I have two breezi chairs here which are very similar to the tripp trapp, I have them because two of my kids are disabled and they support them well.

i have a mothercare atlanta and its driving me potty, takes all the space in my box kitchen and all the food gets stuck everywhere, ds wiggles so its hard to get him in behind the tray! thought it was safe to get any old highchair, what differences could there be! silly me! what is a breezi?

I bought the complete set - chair, baby kit and chsion from two left feet a month or two back for £120. It was delivered within a few days.

I have some mothecare codes but they may be just for account holders

I got mine for 104 (without cushions as didnt see the point in buying them) Got it at that price from back in action as they price matched somewhere else Id seen on the web and then went £5 lower. Love a bargain me.

how old is your child ? You probably won't need the cushions at all.

yeah, don't bother with the cushions. They're not wipe-clean anyway and you have to half-disassemble the chair to get them off to chuck into the washing machine. Maybe you can get a bar from a friend who is finished with their's? Mine grew out of their baby sets within 8 months or so anyway.

FF - i recently bought the babydan chair from kiddicare & am well pleased with it, looks lovely (& comes with cute cushion, all for £69 ). wanted a tripp trapp but dh thinks that BD is actually prettier (or did he just like the price, hmmmm...)

FunkyFox you sound like me. I've got the cherry tripp trapp from back in action. They are really helpful and do a great job of explaining why they are the best highchairs.They were also the best price 8 months ago.
We're really pleased with ours.

Oh and you will need a baby set, maybe not a harness and don't bother with cushions.
Dd is 13 months and no way would I take the baby set off yet!

I too got a Tripp Trapp with babyset, cushions and reins (yes, I know - am a first-time mum and it shows when making major purchases!) for the grand sum of £112. I found it on lullabys.co.uk cheaper than backinaction and so they gave me a fiver off the total.

you won't need the cushions and if you want reins then you can just use any ones and wind then round the back of the seat. I would go for the baby set though. You could resell that on ebay in a years time (that's what I did).

I got an antelop from ikea for £10 which lasted the 14 months before ds could use a chair very well.

I can never get dn in and out of her tripptrapp and she seems to slide about in it. And it is heavy so it stays where it is and is constantly in the way. I don't like them and I think they are very expensive. Probably go well with the aga though

I don't have an aga and ours sits at the table in place of the dining chair that's at the computer so it's not in the way at all! Never have a problem getting DS in or out of it either.
