Where can I get some nice stuff, please?

I don't want any Dora the Explorer or Ben 10 licensed stuff though.

Simple patterns like spots or stripes or animals on cotton fabric.

Been looking and there isn't much I can find or it's outrageously expensive.

Can anyone help, please?

Dunelm Mill ?

JoeJoe1977 · 30/06/2009 21:36

Or make it yourself - much cheaper as well. I found material in Ikea and made up bedding with hippo print and funky stripes.

Vertbaudet have a really good selection which is a bit different and not pricey as far as I know?

Wilkinsons Online. M&S have some nice/funky lines. Ebay is sometimes good for children's linen. Argos do some budget lines with unlicensed patterns and the supermarkets have all dabbled too. It's worth a look on t'internet too.

Good luck.

John Lewis have really nice stuff - tasteful but lovley for kids, and good quality. I hate all the 'character' duvet sets - they are such crap quality and feel like sandpaper. I always go for John Lewis (online, think their delivery is free), or M & S, or Next directory.

Thank you. Brilliant. Will check it all out.

Make it myself - erm, I'm not very capable in that department. Wish I were.

Me too! I'm dreading when the DS needs costumes made!

squilly · 01/07/2009 14:41

We've managed to buy/cobble together most of DD's costumes to date.

The best one was a Dr Who Scarecrow dressing up set, the halloween after the programme had been on. I made a basic tunic and leggings and am embarrassed to admit that I had to stickytape the legs at the seams the second time she wore it as it fell apart we got some great pictures before they fell to pieces though

You always manage when you have to. And the costumes generally only have to work for a day or two.
