Or did I imagine it, I cannot find it on google for love nor money.
It was a woman from London or SE that was importing them.

a bike that carries three children?

Get a trailer that fits two children and put the third on a bike seat on the rack at the bike of the bike?

silverfrog · 31/05/2009 17:48

was it just a bike? or was it a trike?

it could hae been this with a child seat on the back.

or a tandem, again wiht child seat fitted

there are numerous possibilities, once you start looking - what general type was it?

Haven't read the article but you could try www.londonrecumbents.com/ they are based in south east London, and would probably help. They have a range of family bikes & I think you can buy from there too.

This too is a great bike site. Click on the bike names under family on the right hand side. velorution.co.uk/

can second london recumbents (I did wonder whether they were the lady you were talking about) - that's who we got our Kangaroo through.

Very helpful, and very knowledgable too.

5 if you have a baby sling I wonder which one will put the umbrella up when it rains?

NationalFlight · 31/05/2009 18:35

Agree Dleeds, sounds like the trik.

You put a Bobike seat on the front.

Tricycles are horrid to ride though!

NationalFlight · 31/05/2009 18:38

No offence to those with trikes!!

Silverfrog - how do you find the Kangaroo? Is two wheels at the front easier?

KathyBrown · 31/05/2009 20:48

DLeeds Thank you that's the one.
I've had a Pashley before which I loved but the kids hated facing backwards.

Flight, i haven't ridden any other trike (except a nihola when test-riding, but still has 2 wheels at the front), and I can't ride a (standard)bike either, so i don't have anyhting to compare with

I love the Kangaroo - it can be a little hard to get going (particularly uphill, but I am very unfit), but we get about ok - I use it to take dd1 to school - she is 4.8, and not small, and also have dd2, who is 2.3. It's great, and getting easier by the day (thankfully!)

NationalFlight · 01/06/2009 07:36

Ah Kathy if you've successfully ridden a Pash you'll be fine

I tried one for a few days then bunged it back on ebay couldn't steer the fecker!

Silverfrog - sounds great, I haven't managed to try either - no one sells them near us - but we've a Bakfiets which carries ds1 (6) and ds2(nearly 2) with ease...again a bit tricksome up a big hill, but going down is fab

The raincover isn't as good as yours though!!
It's only got two wheels as well which I really like as I'm used to a normal bike.

Lots of us weirdy-bike owners on here, good!
