Car Seats: Isofix for bigger sizes??

We currently have an Isofix car seat for dd that is supposed to fit up to approx 4 years old, but will be employing a mothers help and are going to purchase another seat to put in her car.

DH has had a quick look online but says he can't find any Isofix car seats in the next size category up (not sure what 'group' it would be), but would fit roughly 3-9 year old.

Does anyone have one or know of them? Do Isofix seats only cater for younger children and we are therefore searching in vain?

Any help much appreciated.

We have a Britax kidfix and are generally quite pleased with it. How old is your child?

She is nearly 3, although quite big for age in both height and weight.

Kidfix looks good thanks - may well order one from Kiddicare.

Cheers!

We are looking for one too - how does it fare in the Which tests? I can't remember my password to log in - there is also a Jane one I think, It would be good to compare the safety ratings for them.

There are cheaper places than kiddicare online btw £98/£100 + free delivery - I think kiddicare will price match if you ask them.

One of the reviews online mentions that they purcahsed this model because it was ratest highest for safety by Which - hearsay I know....but I don't have a password either!

Yes, it has the highest rating from Which (though I'd take some of their reviews with a pinch of salt).
I'd be very wary about using it on such a young child though, not yummy. My DD is a very tall 3.8 (with a very long body) and I wouldn't want her to be any smaller for it as I don't think the seat belt routing would work correctly. I think the minimum weight for them is 15kg, but do check that too. Cany you at least try it in a shop first to check it fits (Halfords sell them)?

Good point articlemming - my DH has been on the phone and made exatly the same point. I think we are going to buy a different slightly cheaper seat that will def fit in the mothers help car (who doesn't have isofix and will only be making occasional short journeys with dd). We will buy the Kidfix one later next year to replace the isofix seat we have currently have in our car.

Thanks all.
