Thudguard - any good?

Thudguards, the hat that was on the apprentice last week?

I watched it and thought "OMG who buys one of those for their kids, children are supposed to run about and bump themselves, the race has got this far etc etc..."

Then DD banged her head 3 times in 2 days and we spent 2 nights in hospital - i am so scared she will bump herself again (take back everything i thought about them!) and wondered if anyone has seen one of these or tried one - are they worth having, just to give me peace of mind for the next couple of weeks while she gets back to normal?

Thanks!

Sounds good to me too.Dd3 is 8 months and seems to bump her head several times a day on our hard floors. Was just saying (jokingly) she could do with a mini crash helmet.Didn't realise they had invented one yet though.Shall watch with interest!

Anyone tried one out? They got a massive ad on the apprentice!

It seems like a lot of money for something that may not be useful for more than a few weeks - or less if your child refuses to wear it

My ds accidents at that age involved his teeth and a bump to his forehead....... so thudgaurd no use there!

It could be very useful for a child with Special Needs though.

That's what i was thinking - it does seem like a lot. My DS fell over and banged his head today so DD having one wouldn't have helped there!
