Hi. I'm looking for a double buggy for DD1 who is 2 1/2 and DD2 who is due next week. I'm having a C Section so anything I get would need to be easy on my scar/fragile stomach and not too heavy.
I think I'd prefer a tandem since they look a little easier to fit through doors and on public transport etc. Is this the case?
We've got a large boot so size isn't too much of an issue.
I looked at the Phil and Ted's a while ago but it seemed expensive for something that DD1 may not get much use out of. I've read on another thread that they're not much use for older or tall children.
Heeeelp!

I personally prefer tandems. Shops are a nightmare with a side by side. You might get through the door but not round the aisles due to boxes etc. I have previously had a graco tandem which I found heavy but sturdy and it did the trick. However this time round I have bought the Jane Powertwin. I got mine new off ebay for £250.

i didn't like tandems i found them heavy apart from the p&t, but this is not light to fold or lift. it is to push tho? side by side's i'd look at the nipper 360 as its super light a dream to push. i want one!!

I had the Jane Powertwin too, used it up until my son was almost 3 and it was fine - I loved it and was sad to see it go. I also liked the fact that even after the 4 month stage (when most babies grow out of the cocoon on the P&T) I could still have my daughter lying flat in the back seat when she fell asleep.
