Are Tesco value (blue and white stripey) nappies any good?

By any good I mean do they hold in wee and poo long enough for me to rush to the wipes? Have just been given most of a pack as PIL used them for their incontinent dog who shuffled off this mortal coil last week. I am assured that these are unused and never got within a sniff of the dog's bum so...

I'd stick her in them round the house but there's no point using them if they are going to cover all dd's vests in poo

LOL at the incontinent dog -sorry.
Ive only used tesco next brand up which were fine. So not a lot of help but tis will bump you post.
Is your DD old enough that you can roughly judge when she will do a poo am/pm?, if so try it when shes less likely to do it.

I haven't used them on a baby only on a toddler but they were fine. Very plasticky but did the job.

Flo23 · 23/05/2009 08:05

Bought them once, just before potty training DS1 to encourage him out of nappies!

As Wallace says, very plasticky.

DD is 16 months so not quite at the stage of telling me when she wants to go but past the mustard poo stage! Might as well give them a whirl then, gift horses and all that. Thanks

Maybe keep them for emergencies.

My MIL used to buy asda value nappies when she was looking after my DC. They were vile, like a plastic bag.

I must admit I'm laughing at the thought of a dog in nappies.

EyeballsisonaDietAgain · 23/05/2009 13:11

Don't worry, I sent up thanks every day we stayed with them that it wasn't me changing it! Suddenly DD's nappies were a piece of piss cake

I used washables whenever I could with my two.
If I did use disposables I used tesco value and always found them to be excellent value - why anyone would spend a fortune on pampers etc for them to get covered in poo and thrown away is beyond me.
