I am thinking of slimming my collection down to one but beyond the Maclaren Techno XT I am not too familiar with something which ticks all of these boxes:
Light
Sturdy
Recline even if just slightly
Compact fold
Ok shopping basket
Easy to push
Suitable for a 2.5 yr old
Under £100
Handle of at least 106cm

Current XT is too expensive of course.
Any other suggestions?

I am very tempted by the Hauck, worried about buying without seeing it too though. 110cms though thats so tall!

FlyMeToDunoon · 21/05/2009 22:54

Am Slightly dubious about the Hauck as have never thought much of the ones I have seen.

Oh really? I worry about making anothr expensive mistake as the energy was a disaster. Mac techno is the safest option. Do you want to buy new though?

FlyMeToDunoon · 22/05/2009 13:35

used2bthin Would like to buy new after a lot of second hand and ebay experience. Not all bad but it is nice to have new.
What was your Energy disaster?

It got damaged in the post I think. It was ok to start with then just got more and more tricky to push until I realised it was sort of buckled. Meanwhile I had a very bad back and only worked out why when someoe else commented on how impossible the thing was to push! My friend has got one and it is loads better so I think it was just mine. Friends DD is very light though, mine is not and I remember when I was in mothercare looking for a buggy originally a mum had a Jane energy, I asked her if she found it ok (I'm a weirdo I know!) and she said no I am replacing it with a maclaren as the wheels have gone dodgy. So could just be two cases of bad luck but I am wary now. I think I am going to go for a second hand techno but can understand why you want to buy new.

FlyMeToDunoon · 22/05/2009 19:19

The Energy I got off ebay had very stiff wheels and I emailed the seller about it but it turned out to just need oiled. Twas fine after that.
I found that DD3 at 2.7 is fine to push in it.
Anyways I think that might be what I am going for.
Thanks for all opinions.

Yes I'm sure they are usually fine, I really like them and was gutted that mine broke!
