Doee anyone have one of the hook type banana trees for their bananas? Does it work? If so can someone please recommend one so I can limit the appearance of squishy bananas? Many thanks

They do work, but really their only purpose is to keep bananas away from other fruit so that the gas off the bananas doesn't make everthing else go off. Don't spend a lot of money on a fancy one, mosy supermarkets do a chrome one for about £3. xx

I have one but don't use it because I feel like it's one more thing on the counter (it was a gift). The bananas lying on the counter are, of course, one more thing on the counter but they're not as visually evident.

I mean, I keep bananas away from other fruit by either:

moving them to the other side of the fruit bowl

or:

eating them

I keep mine in the bag in a dark cupboard, if I put them on the banana hook thing they ripen too fast!

just another thing to clutter up a kitchen

we buy small bananas
often

ones that get bruised/brown before we eat them I freeze for muffins and banana bread

Im sure they work however it is just as easy to keep your bananas away from the fruit bowl by putting them in another bowl and keeping them separate.
