Where can i buy closed toe sandals for my dd2 who has wide feet (6.5 G/H)? they need to support her feet well too as she has a slightly wonky foot. Clarks seem to only do theres in a F fitting as does startrite . It looks like she will have to wear boots for the summer if a can't find sandals.

This type of thing comes in a G fitting, as do these and start-rite's similar styles. If you can find a shop near you that stocks Danish brand Angulus, they also come up v. wide.

Thanks frog, i wanted something a bit more airy IYKWIM, she has some similar to those from clarks.

I like the ones timberland do but i don't know who stocks them as i want her to try them on before we buy. We have a very expensive childrens clothes shop near us that stocks a range of startrite and some continental shoes so i might have to try there. I didn't really want to spend a fortune, i will just have to hide the box from dh .

Start Rite shops do sell the Timberland ones...well, they did last year as exp wanted my Dd to have them and I didn't, so it's kind of stuck in my mind...

I will check out startrite tomorrow. Are boys sandals wider?

I'm not sure, but I wouldn't have thought so. Don't they all go up to H fitting? My Ds was/is H but Dd is only an F/G.

You could try baby botte, they come right up the ankle/instep, even the sandals. My DD has chubby feet and skinny ankles, so I'm always struggling unless they are really high at the back/ankle. Also, elephanten do really nice supportive ones, but not sure if you can get them in this country, and also, andanines do beautiful ones which are traditional, and really support the foot like old fashioned baby shoes did. not sure who stocks them though.
Charles clinkard does most of the best brands including clarks and startright, so you wont go far wrong in there.

You can get Elephanten from Start Rites. My Ds's first shoes were by Elephanten and are the softest, most supple leather ever! Must admit, I've not seen sandals in there, but then again, I've not looked that well for sandals by them either.
