Is there any such thing as fabric glue for mending clothes?

Dh and I have both ripped clothing on the back fence. The tears look like they could best be mended if I could glue it back together rather than sew it but is there any such thing?

you can get iron on interfacing, (sometimes called 'vilene') it's a this white fabric, with a sticky side. iron it onto the underside of the rip, it's pretty good, and will withstand being washed. you can get it in the haberdashery dept of places like dunelm.

You can get Wunderweb, it's an iron on material, I take up hems with it and I had a tear along the seam of trousers last week and fixed it with that. It's like a white coloured material kinda mesh looking, but it dosen't noticed once ironed on.

Can be bought from Tescos

There's a powder stuff that Betterware do as well, that you can sprinkle on and when you iron it it melts and glues stuff together. I prefer the iron on patches though (as opposed to the wunderweb, which needs a backing, I think - its more used for hemming).

Thank you - at least I know there's some stuff out there. I will have a hunt around for some

Any haberdashery shop will sell iron-on interfacing - you buy it by length.
