Anyone have a recommendation?

What should I be looking for?

Like the look of the Bushbaby Lite so far.

A really comfy strap system with an adjustable back support because what is comfy for you may not be comfy for our partner or anyone else you can blag into carrying it & child. themselves over when their feet can touch the ground. The lite versions tend to skimp on the padding and back support.

A fold out support so the child is upright when you take teh pack off - just be careful as they

we had a Vaude Jolly comfort which was good. The pockets were also in a place that they could be reached without taking the pack off. Great for when we were walking and ds wanted a sip of milk/juice or you want to get bus fares out without rummaging in the bottom pocket.

Don't know how that happened -

A fold out support so the child is upright when you take teh pack off - just be careful as they can tip themselves over once their feet can reach the ground

We wanted one of these that would give good back support even when ds got quite heavy so I went to a hiking shop for advice. I reckoned that they would know more than a baby shop iykwim. They strongly recommened the MacPac which has all the best design features of a good rucksack. We have been very pleased with it. Both dh and I have used it a alot with no problems and it is adjustable enough that it fits both of us perfectly.

look at the ergo, patapum, beco, Yamo as well as the other ones. They are made for longer term wearing and are very very comfy

DH will be using it and definitely wants a rucksack style carrier.

I shall have a look at all suggestions.

We had a Jack wolfskin watchtower.....only sold it a couple of months ago too!!

It's fab as very comfy and has complete adjsutable back which is really quick to alter so great for people of different heights. I am just under 5ft and Dh nearly 6ft so worked for us no problem!

Anifran - the reviews say the Vaude Jolly Comfort is heavy, did you find that?

muddleduck - which Macpac model do you have?

I'm trying to decide between this one and this one.
The second one looks like it has better support.
