High-backed boosters - Jane Indy Team Plus or Maxi Cosi Rodi XR?

I want a reclining booster, and these two seem the best as far as I can see.

Which is best? We do have Isofix, so the Jane would work with that. Also, we drive long distances a couple of times a year, so it needs to be comfortable on long journeys.

We have Maxi Cosi Rodi XR - not isofix, it says it does recline but not really, the seat adjustment has to be done before it goes in the ar and is there to get a better fit to the seat for safety. Its ds1's seat, he's 3 this month, no complaints from him and he seems quite comfortable on long journeys when he falls asleep in it

If you want reclining then I think isofix is your only option. Its diffiult to say which seat is best as you need to check which one fits your car without buckle crunch - mothercare have britax and recaro isofix which you could try, if you like Jane one best to fine a retailer who stocks it for you to try in all the cars you are thinking of using it in.

Thanks insywinsy. Just found out that Jane are launching a replacement to the Indy Team Plus, so will wait the two or three and see what that one is like before deciding.

Is there anywhere you can try seats in your car before you buy?

We have had both. I loved the jane but to recline it you had to do it before you put the child in rather than when they wanted to sleep. When they woke up you had to take them out to put it upright again.

I also have the maxi Cosi which I love. Both are good seats so it is just personal choice.

Halfords or Mothercare will try them in your car for you - they market themselves on having 'qualified' fitters, personally it depends on the store as to how good they are, our mothercare one is great the Halfords guy just gave me a load of bullshit (not his fault really that I work in vehicle safety ) I think department stores that sell seats also let you try them... in fact everywhere should, I would never buy a seat without putting it in my car and strapping dc into it first (or find a freinds one to try??)

Thanks again. Have just checked and Halfords don't sell Jané and Mothercare only has them for sale via the website.

Will have to find a local stockist that does both in 2-3 weeks.
