Fly Screen?

Does anyone know where I can buy a flyscreen for dd's bedroom window?

When the weather was hot recently I opened the window at night , and in the morning found she'd been bitten

I remember seeing something recently in one of those catalogues that falls out of another magazine.... it looked like two overlapping panels of mesh that you velcro over the window frame. Of course I threw the catalogue away.

Any ideas?

No-one?

Am I being over-protective? It's just that in summer it is like mossie-city around here!

Okay, I'm going to try a link, here goes:
flyscreen or, if you have a John Lewis store nearby, you could try them.

err.. what about net curtains? You can weight them down at the bottom, or attach them to the window frame to stop them blowing about if the window is open.

I have looked at the lakeland link and I have something similar - they work well once in situ(can be a little tricky fitting) especially on sash windows. If you have windows with those catches that open the window different amounts (sorry don't know technical name) they get in the way of the mesh.

I've bought the lakeland ones, but not fixed them up yet .. will let you know if they're not good, but expect them to do the job. You can get a little ladybird device from some catalogues (jojo / gltc / ?) which you attach to the cot or door handle and it emits a noise which prevents mozzies coming near ! Also have one of these but I think if you leave it on all night you need a new battery every other day which seems a bit mad, so I didn't bother, but dd didn't get bitten !
