i've seen these now in a few places, but been reluctant to buy; has anyone used them and have they made weaning life easier? ds is 10 months old and will fling the bowl of food if given the chance.

thanks!=D

No - because baby stronger than suckers. they just rip em off adding further force behind flying food

moondog · 26/04/2005 15:05

lol flum!! You're on form today!

Fennel · 26/04/2005 15:05

I found the same as Flum. Or if the sucker is strong baby can chuck bowl/mat/plastic tablecloth all together, which is even worse.

On the plus side, trying to prise the suction off the tray does distract for a few minutes while you shovel food in

Kayleigh · 26/04/2005 15:09

Don't waste your time. We ended up removing all suckers.

FLUM · 26/04/2005 15:11

my babies found it a challenge!

tiffini · 27/04/2005 20:51

a pain in the arse to wash too.

LGJ · 27/04/2005 21:06

If I said BAG OF SHITE would you get the idea

PrettyCandles · 27/04/2005 21:11

You said it, Flum.

If the young master is flinging, then he's not ready to have access to the whole bowl. Give him a bowl of his own, with the tiniest amount of food in it and a spoon to mess with while you keep the real stuff well out of his reach.

hunkermunker · 27/04/2005 21:11

So, just to recap, no good then?

Flossam · 27/04/2005 21:14

Ohhh, looks like I must get some of those!!

PrettyCandles · 27/04/2005 21:17

Does anyone actually like them?

lunarx · 28/04/2005 11:34

:nods at prettycandles: we're trying the he has a small bowl with a bit of food and i have the main big bowl, he isn't flinging the small bowl, but chews on it happily..

ahh well, they say weaning is fun!! :grins: =D
