Clips to hold harness together?

HeadFairy · 16/04/2009 20:39

does anyone know where I can find those clips you can get that hold together the front of a harness? Ds managed to slide his shoulders out of his car seat straps today (despite them being as tight as I can get them) and I'm sure I've seen a little clip thingy that holds together the front bits of a harness to stop just this happening. I can't find them anywhere. Has anyone seen anything similar?

Lock tite think they are by sunshine kids

go to fledglings.com i think

(Its a great site for SN stuff but very handy for children without SN also)

My 5yo son had these when he was younger.

thanks for top tip about looking on SN sites stillenacht.

I've had a look on the sunshine kids website cargirl and I can't find them. I did find them on amazon, but they were unavailable.

I think they are not approved in this country you used to be able to buy them in jojobebemaman but they told me they weren't for use on car seats.

they are about 5 quid on fledglings...

they will have them i am sure

HeadFairy · 16/04/2009 21:00

Oh I see... is there anything else I can get to stop him getting out of his car seat? We're pretty desperate as we're driving to Italy next week so we'll be on the motorway a lot.

stillenacht, I couldn't see an online shop on Fledglings... did I miss something?

well I used one because I decided it was safer to have her in the straps and the extra seconds to get them undone in an accident than the risk of her not being in the car seat when the accident occurred IYSWIM

stillenacht · 16/04/2009 21:04

i usually just phone them and order

HeadFairy · 16/04/2009 21:04

Well exactly cargirl... I thought firecrews cut the webbing of seatbelts when they were getting people out of cars anyway. My sister said they cut her out of her seatbelt even though it was still working properly after her accident. It was easier and meant they could keep her still.

Aha. I've found one on the fledglings website stillenacht. It looks like it's approved for cars too as that's what its advertised as. Thanks for that, I'll give them a call tomorrow and order one.
