Is EasiYo really any good?

Toying with the idea of getting an EasiYo starter kit. The kids seem to go on yoghurt phases and then leave a load in the fridge to rot, only really like two flavours and always row over who gets to eat the remaining unfavoured raspberry, and I'm sick of throwing away all that plastic every week.

But is it really any good? Lakeland seems to have glowing reviews for it, but hoping some mumsnetters have experience of it. Will I use it or will it languish in the back of the cupboard?

Main downside I can initially see is that there doesn't appear to be any banana flavour version (can see riots over that...)

Well we think it's delicious. Very easy to do and the yoghurt is lovely. Also cuts out the guilt over plastic yoghurt cartons. (Non recylable in my area)

Lakeland isn't the only supplier of the mixes, banana is available from other places if you google.

recyclable

Ooh yes I have one, go for it!

I don't use the sachets though, think they're too expensive. A spoonful of bought yoghurt mixed with UHT milk (or boiled normal milk) works just as well and then you can mix it with honey/fruit/jam or whatever afterwards.

It has to be live yoghurt btw, don't think it would work with a Petit Filous!

RubberDuck · 16/04/2009 13:18

Oh is it? Fab! I'll go google for other flavours too then.

Yes, the pots aren't recyclable here either which is a real pain.

Lol, no I won't try Petit Filous as the base . That's worth knowing, the sachets did look a bit pricey, but then I worked out how much those stupid little pots cost and the price didn't look too bad.
