Baba sling - is it too hot for summer?

i'm looking to get an easy to put on pouch type sling to go with the kari-me i've got for 1st baby due in june. i thought it might be useful to have a throw-on one to use around the house...or something. the babasling looks nice and i like the idea of a buckle, not keen on ring-slings, but it looks quite padded. has anyone used one and do they think it would be too hot to use in warmer weather (weather permitting )? if so, can anyone recommend a lightweight version?

i have a baba sling and i loved it when ds was little, after about 4 months(he is a big boys lol) he outgrew it in the lying down position and he doesnt like sitting upright in it!so i've just bought a front carrier,
i did prefer it for a newborn tho,MUCH easier to use then a normal front carrier,

it has the main buckle and also a smaller safety buckle for extra security, its really comfy to wear as well, and a little pocket for a phone/keys
im selling mine BTW, navy blue,as new still in box,lol

thanks sazm, do you think it would be ok temperature-wise in the summer as it looks quite padded and warm?

hi - just wanted to say I have a kari-me for my 9 week old, and use it round the house, and when i'm out in the garden. you might not need to have a second...

it is only the shoulder that is padded and the top/bottom "rails" - the main body is just a single layer of cotton. ds hated being in the cradle position but both dd and ds like the hip carry (once they can hold their heads up) which is what I bought it for really. I used it as a throw on sling in and out of the car. YOu can sometimes pick them up in TK Maxx for £20 or there are loads on ebay.

babasling has safety issues. here. you are better off with a stretchy wrap or pouchif you don't like ring slings

sorry, wasn't babasling. had something else in my mind
