Hi
Does anyone in the Kent area have a Stokke Xplory pushchair that I could look at please?
I'm thinking of buying one but there are no shops nearby that stock it.
Thanks

Don't.
I have to stifle my guffaws everytime I pass someone pushing one. It looks like an internal mail delivery cart.

I always think they look like office chairs with a carseat perched on top. For some reason, the only people I ever see them with where I live are super-glam Asian yummy mummies. The non-Asian yummies all have Buggerboos.

I think they're lovely if costly, and I like the fact that baby is very high up and you can chat so easily- things that our SALY says are important.

Just try pushing it first, I never have but I did try a bugaboo and found I couldnt as my hands are small.Always worth trying.

I have a Stokke and I live in Kent. The only place in Kent that has them is The Baby Lady in Canterbury. I do like it as it's different[raspberries to Moondog] but it is a bugger to get into the car. It folds down from big to slightly less big. I like that it's high up but otherwise, I'd get a Bugaboo. Oh and I am a scruffy mummy rather than a yummy one.

Thanks everyone
I'll check out the baby lady in Canterbury. I have a bad back and thought the height would be an advantage when lifting baby out.

another 'high' one is the m+p skate

WinkyWinkola · 12/04/2009 12:22

It's a good buggy not least because it keeps kids high up and they get a good view of everything and everyone. Including you if you fancy turning the seat around to face you.

Design genius.

But the wheels always sound so rickety whenever anyone passes with one. I'd never get one purely because they seem pretty plasticky.

Marthasmama · 13/04/2009 00:05

I've not found the wheels a problem to be honest. They're not noisy, but then ours is only 6 months old. They do seem plasticy though . I still love it. It is SO much better than the M&P piece of crap one we had with ds!

I've seen one tip over at the bus stop. Not a pretty sight.

Each to their own.
